Facility Specialist works primarily on the setup and teardown of events. The is an event-based position and hours can range from 6 to 28 hours per week, depending on schedule of events and employee's availability.

JOB DUTIES:
(including to but not limited to)
Set-up and tear down a variety of equipment, including, chairs, tables, staging, risers, trash cans, dance floors, coat racks, table skirting, carpet, pipe and drape, and other assigned tasks.
Set rooms according to the requested layouts and diagrams
Remove trash and waste.
May occasionally work with heavy equipment or power tools.
Perform other duties as required.

SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Work from general instructions and specifications, with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work effectively with a positive attitude in an ever changing, service oriented, fast paced and occasionally high pressure environment.
Perform general labor related tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, and potential clients.
Must have flexibility to work a varible event-based schedule.
Forklift and aerial-lift qualified a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent GED. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
Must be able to perform physical tasks: lifting items 50 lbs or greater, be able to lift equipment repeatedly, stand for an entire shift, climb stairs, etc.
Must have proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid US state driver's license.
