HVAC Service Technician/Sheet Metal Installer

SheetMetal Installer / Service Technician to have the ability to work with minimal supervision. This qualified person would be able to read a blueprint plan and install light commercial sheetmetal ducting in a professional and clean manner, as well as lay out and order duct work for fabrication on our small to medium commercial hvac projects. An added plus would be if this individual has the ability to diagnose and make repairs of residential/light commercial HVAC systems, perform proper maintenance/repair procedures to promote the efficient and safe operation of HVAC systems, boilers, hot water heating systems, humidifiers. REQUIREMENTS:
2+ yrs commercial HVAC experience; Trade school diploma preferred

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read plans for hvac duct lay out.
Make material list for fabrication at fabrication shop
Installation of sheetmetal & ductwork for construction projects.
Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
Gas piping for construction projects or equipment replacements as needed.

Added plus:
Installs, services, and repairs HVAC equipment and systems. Service light refrigeration equipment a plus.
Diagnoses problems and/or failures in refrigeration and HVAC systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and replacement needs.
Performs routine and preventative maintenance as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Work with customers and office in order to continually strive to grow our service customer base and flexibility.
Performs scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair work to facilities and equipment.
Follows up on and studies recurring failures in an effort to find solutions.
Maintains HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, boilers, humidifiers, and other equipment.
Trouble-shoots problems with production equipment and takes measures to solve the problems.
Run and repair low voltage wiring and make minor line voltage repairs if needed.
Performs preventative maintenance activities such as lubrication, filter changes, belts, coil and condenser cleaning, testing and other repairs.

SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE:
Trade school diploma preferred with experience in facilities HVAC, refrigeration and boiler maintenance and repair.
2+ years of commercial HVAC service experience. Able to service refrigeration systems a plus.
Good mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills.
Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of whole numbers.
Specialized training in air conditioning, heating, and electrical, Minnesota boilers license a plus.
Knowledge of general maintenance procedures.
Must be able to pass any employment screening and or drug test upon request.
Experience with repairing and maintaining walk-in/reach-in freezers and coolers, refrigerated serving lines and ice machines not required, but would be a plus.
EPA 608 Universal Certification.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must have good people skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Be able to work as part of a team with high reliability.
Ability to install commercial ducting on construction projects.
Understand and install gas piping for construction projects or equipment replacements.

Compensation: $20-$40/hr
